As a way to support arts within the Perkiomen Valley School District and the community, the district Arts Department is hosting the 7th Annual Perkiomen Valley Art and Food Truck Festival on Saturday at Perkiomen Valley High School.

The free event is rain or shine and runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 509 Gravel Road location. It will feature original art, vendors, music, a kids zone, and food trucks, with presenting sponsor Gorski Constructioneering returning for the seventh year.

According to its event website, the festival was established to make students and community members aware of the careers in the art fields and to encourage students to pursue arts aspirations. Organizers include elementary art teachers Danielle Hockman, Christina Bolc, Jill Seitz, and Alicia Fox, middle school art teachers Maria DiCicco and Heather La Pera, and high school art teachers Tom Komp, Chris Bernholdt and Bob Libby.

Proceeds from the event go back to “high impact learning experiences” for K-12 students inside and outside the classroom. Tickets are required for purchase for extra activities at the event, such as the SuperGameTrailer, laser tag, and the dunk tank.

Scheduled food turkcs include Mama’s Majik Kitchen, Handels Ice Cream, Wrap N’ Roll, Pot Luck Food Truck, The Little Sicilian, Petrucci’s Ice Cream and Water Ice, Captains Curbside Seafood Market, Wow Wagon, Philly Funnel Cake, The Pasta Truck, Ardana Food Truck, and Bettys Old Fashioned Lemonade. Food trucks will be stationed on the back road between the school building and the softball field.

Live music will be performed by rock band Underwater Robots and covers by Music Depot 2024 Spring Program Bands, which returns as a live music stage sponsor for the fourth year.

The KidsZone will be located at the high school’s auxiliary gym and will feature paint pouring, a Viking mural, a Makedo Station, an obstacle course, a black light paint tent, and face painting. There is also a Chalk Wall mural created by art and food truck attendees.
