The “unapologetically anti-Zionist” Montgomery County for Palestine group has organized a protest Saturday at noon in Railroad Plaza in Lansdale to “continue to call for an end to U.S. complicity in war crimes.”

According to an Instagram post, the group, also known as Montco4P, is encouraging peaceful protesters to bring posters, flags, banners, pots and pans to the protest. The group also asks protesters to wear keffiyehs and masks.

“Over 43,000 are currently estimated to have been martyred in this genocide,” said Montco4P in its social media post. “We must not be silent!”

According to its website, Montgomery County for Palestine is a grassroots, abolitionist, locally-focused organization fighting for the liberation of Palestine.

“We recognize that we organize on stolen and unceded indigenous Lenni Lenape and Susquehannock land and honor the land back call for all indigenous people,” states the website.

The group’s “Points of Unity” outlines beliefs of Montgomery County for Palestine, including anti-Zionism, anti-normalization and anti-imperialism tenets.

“We uphold the right of the Palestinian refugees and their descendants who were forcibly kicked out of Palestine to return to their homeland, as articulated in the United Nations Resolution 194,” states the website.

The group last protested in support of Palestine at Railroad Plaza in March, where they were joined by Party for Socialism and Liberation-Philadelphia.
