The assaults occurred between December 2020 and January 2022 in Colllegeville and Pottstown, police said.
A 22-year-old man from Pottstown pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court May 9 to three misdemeanor indecent assault charges for having indecent contact with an 11-year-old boy on numerous occasions in Collegeville Borough and Pottstown over 13 months, according to Main Line Times & Suburban.
Warren Mikaal McNeil, of the 500 block of Grant Street, also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of corruption of a minor, per court records. He is free on bail, pending a future sentencing hearing.
Sentencing is deferred so McNeil can undergo a psychosexual evaluation, per the report. He will also undergo an evaluation to determine if he should be registered as a sexually violent predator, thus receiving stricter parole and probation rules.
However, he will have to report his address to Pennsylvania State Police for life as part of the Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, according to the article.
The incidents occurred between December 2020 and January 2022, authorities said, when McNeil was 18 years old. In January 2022, a 12-year-old boy reported to Pottstown Police that McNeil had assaulted him on three occasions, including a party in Collegeville, per the report.
