Skippack Elementary fifth graders took part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity last month at Citizens Bank Park, Perkiomen Valley School District announced Tuesday.

The school’s fifth grade chorus sang The National Anthem at the Philadelphia Phillies game on April 17, according to the district.

All in all, 88 students from the chorus took part, under direction of teacher Mrs. Courtney D’Avera.

The Phillies – on a 30-game winning streak as of Tuesday – beat the Colorado Rockies in a sweep that night 7-6, thanks to the arm of Jose Alvarado.
