A Phoenixville man has been charged with misdemeanor DUI, driving with a suspended license, careless driving, speeding, disregarding a traffic lane and driving without a license following a DUI crash in Trappe Borough in April.

Pennsylvania State Police said Ndayisaba Simoni, 27, of the 100 block of Westridge Place South, crashed his 2019 Mercury vehicle into a utility pole and a mailbox the night of April 14 on the 200 block of East Third Avenue.

Simoni’s car sustained major damage to its front bumper, front right quarter panel, and right front tire and was inoperable, police said. Simoni was uninjured, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 17 at 11 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Adam T. Katzman, according to court documents.
