Thieves steal airline miles online belonging to Skippack man, then buy tickets, police say

 A Skippack Township man was robbed of his airline miles by unknown persons who gained access to his airline account between May 28 and May 31, 2024.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the thief, or thieves, stole 222,000 airline miles worth a value of $2,220 from the 60-year-old victim, who resides on Reginald Lane.

The points were then used to buy airline tickets successfully, police said.

The thieves went to purchase three more tickets, but the airline stopped the transaction due to fraud suspicion, police said.

The theft is under investigation.
