Pennsylvania State Police at Skippack are prepared to charge a driver of a 2011 Honda Ridgeline with following too closely to a vehicle after a hit-and-run incident the evening of May 13 in Trappe Borough.

In the criminal complaint, police had not yet identified the driver of the striking vehicle.

Police said a 39-year-old Trappe Borough woman was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Trax eastbound on West Main Street and stopped at the light at East 7th Avenue at 5:39 p.m. The driver of the Ridgeline failed to slow down for stopped traffic, resulting in the front bumper of the Ridgeline hitting the passenger rear bumper of the Trax, police said.

The driver of the Ridgeline then backed up and drove around the Chevrolet Trax, leaving the scene, police said.

The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured and was able to drive away from the scene, police said.
