The Fred Beans Automotive group has awarded a $5,000 scholarship to both Jacob Raudabaugh and Rinaldo Rossi to aid the high school seniors in their post-secondary education at Automotive Training Center (ATC). Both recipients demonstrated a strong aptitude and desire to excel in the automotive, diesel or collision repair technology fields.

“We are dedicated to discovering and supporting the next generation of automotive technicians through this High School Senior Scholarship Program,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group. “We are proud to help Jacob and Rinaldo pursue their career ambitions with the exceptional education and hands-on training provided by ATC.”

Raudabaugh is currently a senior at Perkiomen Valley High School, and Rossi attends North Montco Technical Career Center and Souderton Area High School.

The Fred Beans Automotive Group launched the High School Senior Scholarship Program this year to encourage a new generation to develop into the highly qualified technicians needed in the automotive industry. Beans has an ongoing partnership with ATC, which includes providing scholarships to help students purchase toolboxes needed for training, having company representatives volunteer on ATC’s scholarship committee, welcoming students for work-based training, and establishing an employee pipeline for ATC graduates.

“ATC graduates come to us with extensive training, real-world experience and industry-valued credentials in addition to a high level of professionalism,” added Beans Gilbert. “These are the people we want to join us and stay with us to grow their careers.”

Kimberly Ewing, executive director of admissions for ATC, noted the newly instated scholarships from Beans will give students facing financial challenges the opportunity to pursue an education that otherwise may not be possible. “The thoughtful decision by the Fred Beans organization to annually award scholarships that alleviate some of the financial burden of post-secondary education demonstrates the company’s belief in the potential of our students to make a positive impact in the automotive industry,” Ewing emphasized.
