Sen. Tracy Pennycuick, R-24th District, is holding a drive-through identity theft prevention shredding event for free on Saturday in Boyertown.

The rain or shine event at Boyertown Area Multi Service, 200 West Spring Street, is a chance for individuals to receive identity theft prevention information, and shred up to three boxes or bags.

No businesses are allowed at the event, Pennycuick said.

An industrial shredder truck will be on site. Pennycuick said no phonebooks, newspapers or bound books are accepted. All binder and paper clips must be removed from papers.

Furthermore, the shredder event is also a donation event – Preston’s Pantry volunteers will be on hand to collect food donations.
