A Methacton High School graudate killed July 11 in a car accident is remembered as someone who valued friendships and had a deep love for her family.
Arianna Prete, 19, of Audubon, Lower Providence, graduated Methacton last year and was an accomplished softball player.
According to her obituary, Prete began playing at age eight, and thrived as a player.
"She developed a lot of meaningful and lasting friendships throughout the many years playing the sport on a variety of travel teams. She even played catch one last time with her dad this past Father's Day," said her obituary.
Her favorite color was pink. She loved to do her makeup and try new hairstyles. She had a passion for fashion and jewelry.
However, Prete's character and charisma came out in times with her family. Her father, RIck Prete, is head football coach at Roman Catholic High School.
Prete's team even took a knee outside his home out of respect for Arianna's tragedy.
"Our baby girl, first born daughter passed away last night. We’re broken and devastated. She was beautiful, ambitious, and independent. Our lives will never be the same. My sweet heart, Arianna we love you," wrote Prete, Philadelphia Catholic League's "Coach of the Year," on his account on X.
Prete also loved making tamales during Christmastime and eating crab legs with her sister and dad.
A GoFund me to support the family is almost at its $20,000 goal as of Tuesday.
Friends and family have left numerous pages of condolences and memories of Prete on her online obituary.
