A Montgomery County restaurant will be featured on an upcoming episode of “America’s Best Restaurants,” an ongoing series that highlights local restaurants.

Duck Inn Taproom, 567 Gravel Road in Perkiomen Township, along the Perkiomen Creek, will host a crew from “America’s Best Restaurants” on Monday from 3 to 6 p.m.

“America’s Best Restaurants” is a national media and marketing company that is focused on bringing attention to local and independently-owned restaurants. A crew will visit the restaurant, to record a segment featuring an on-camera interview with owner Mark Marino and highlighting some of the restaurant’s dishes. The episode will air on social media channels at a later date, according to a press release announcing the visit.

The Duck Inn Taproom is located in the historic Perkiomen View hotel on the banks of the Perkiomen Creek. The venue features live music, special events, games, food and drink specials a dock and a pergola.

The menu includes a variety of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, soups and salads, and jumbo wings, including duck wings.

According to the release, Marino said he wanted a “sleepy little local tavern” to run, but instead ended up with a community-oriented, family-friendly, thriving business.

Marino has a landscape architect background and has been involved in contracting and land development for 20 years. That experience came in handy as he upgraded the restaurant and repaired and restore the space after floods in 2020 and again in 2021 due to Hurricanes Isaias and Ida.

The finished episode premiere date will be announced on Duck Inn Taproom’s Facebook page and will be featured on the “America’s Best Restaurants” website.

The restaurants featured on the series are selected based on customer reviews, menu items, social media presence, and level of involvement with the community, the release stated. They are found through customer nominations, internal vetting or by a restaurant applying to be featured at www.americasbestrestaurants.com.
