The rash of thieves stealing cell phones delivered by FedEx from residents’ porches and homes that police warned residents about in May remains prevalent in the Perkiomen Valley area.

Pennsylvania State Police said a 46-year-old woman from the 900 block of Heritage Drive in Worcester Township reported on June 28 that a package theft from her porch occurred on the afternoon of June 4.

Police said the victim ordered a smartphone from AT&T on May 31, and the phone was delivered by FedEx on June 4 at 12:43 p.m.

Moments after the delivery, a masked man driving a sedan removed the package from the residence and fled the scene, police said.

The incident was captured on home surveillance cameras. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
