Perkiomenville resident and Boyertown Area Senior High schooler awarded $5K Dunkin' scholarship

A Perkiomenville high schooler has been awarded a $5,000 academic scholarship via Dunkin’ to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational school.

Ella Albright, a senior at Boyertown  Area Senior High School, was one of 20 students selected out of 1,260 applicants to receive the scholarship for Fall 2024.

Albright will head to Bates College to pursue a degree in biology and environmental studies.

At Boyertown Area Senior High, Albright was leader and a member of the Althouse Arboretum GreenAllies Leadership Team and a member of the National Honor Society. Albright also dedicated time to the school Environmental Club, the Future Business Leaders of America, show choir and the cross-country team.

Albright’s successes do not stop there – she is a high-ranking honor roll student at Boyertown, earning an AP Capstone diploma and named a National Merit Commended student.

The scholarship comes from the 15th annual Dunkin’ Philadelphia Regional Scholarships, per a press release, awards $100,000 in scholarships to high school and college students in the Greater Philadelphia area.

“The program helps local students in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Kent and New Castle counties in Delaware pursue a part-time or full-time undergraduate degree at the institution of their choice,” according to a news release.
