Pennsylvania State Police said the victim arrived at the Skippack barracks at 9:26 a.m. July 11 to a report an assault that occurred in the overnight hours at the Skippack Township hotel. However, the man did not want to press charges.

Police said the victim was sitting in an outdoor patio area, drinking with friends. A man seated adjacent to the victim was smoking a cigar, who took the victim’s hand, police allege, and extinguished his cigar on the victim’s right hand. He then left the hotel, police said.

The victim did not seek medical treatment and requested no criminal charges be pursued, police said.

Police contacted the suspect via phone, after the victim provided the information to police, and denied any intent to cause injury, per the criminal complaint.
