A 66-year-old man from Chadds Ford was cited for a two-vehicle accident in Worcester Township last month that resulted in no EMS transport.
Timothy P Scargill, 66, Chadds Ford, police said, was charged with failure to yield to a vehicle turning left, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
On June 21, at 11:2 1a.m., Scargill was southbound in a 2004 Lexus ES350 on Valley Forge Road near Woodlyn Avenue, and made a left turn to head east on Woodlyn, police said.
Scargill, police allege, turned in front of a Ford Transit Connect van that was northbound on Valley Forge Road, driven by Gregory J. Cole, 61, of Royersford.
The Ford Transit’s right front end impacted the right rear passenger side of the Lexus, police said. After impact, both vehicles continued northbound onto the shoulder of Valley Forge Road, police said.
The Lexus sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene, police said. The Ford was towed from the scene, due to sustaining major front-end damage.
Cole, police said, complained of minor injuries, but refused EMS treatment and transport. Scargill was not injured, police said.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
