Garage fire brought under control quickly Friday afternoon

A detached garage fire at a home on the 2100 block of Bethel Road in Worcester Township was brought under control quickly due too the efforts of multiple responding fire departments.

The fire was reported at 12:18 p.m. and was brought under control by 12:51 p.m. Firefighters cut a hole in the roof for ventilation, but a moderate smoke condition remained, per reports from the scene.

Bethel Road remains closed at Morris Road and Skippack Pike.

Responding units included Centre Square Fire Co., Upper Gwynedd Township Fire, Worcester Fire Co., North Penn Fire Co., Upper Salford Fire Co., Towamencin Vol. Fire Co., Norriton Fire Engine Co., Skippack Fire Co., Second Alarmers Rescue Squad and Skippack EMS. 

There are no reported injuries.
