Senator Collett secures $1.6M to protect Montco crime victims and promote crime prevention

Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery) is proud to announce $1,617,493 in Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency grant funding for Montgomery County agencies and organizations providing critical crime victim support services and crime prevention programming.

“Crime victims and survivors in our community must have access to the resources and support they need to heal.” Collett said. “As an attorney who represented children victimized by abuse and neglect, comprehensive victim services have always been a priority for me. I was proud to support this $1.6 million investment to expand those services and boost crime prevention in Montgomery County.”

Grant recipients serving Montgomery County include:

Federal Victims of Crime Funds, Rights and Services Act Funds, Victims of Juvenile Offender Fund:

• Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Inc. — $135,035
• Montgomery County Commissioners— $353,516
• Montgomery County Commissioners — $111,032
• Women’s Center of Montgomery County — $32,595

State Endowment Act — Prevention Fund:

• Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County — $200,000

State Children’s Advocacy Center Fund:

• Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County — $47,000

Continuing County Adult Probation and Parole Grant Fund:

• Montgomery County Commissioners — $738,315
