The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County and Montgomery County officials are teaming up for a Minority & Small Business Resource Summit on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon at Montgomery County Community College’s College Hall at 340 Dekalb Pike in Blue Bell, Whitpain Township.
Keynote speaker is Kareem Afzal, executive chairman of PDC Machines.
Other presentations include Simplifying Business Planning, Marketing on a Budget, Working with Montgomery County Procurement Department, Training/Recruiting Resources, and A Guide to Accessing Grant Funding.
Featured speakers include Jennifer Butler, executive director of Montgomery County Workforce Development Board; Joseph Coco, director of procurement for Montgomery County; Kristin Kane Ford, partner with Kane Partners Social Media; Anthony Henderson, mentor with Bucks/Eastern Montgomery County SCORE; and Jasmine Leatherberry, senior grants and development manager for the Montgomery County Commisssioners Office.
There is also a Resource Expo, where attendees can meet representatives from accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, insurance, payroll, and printing companies.
