Health and Human Services programs starting next semester:

EKG Technician (New)

Hours: 72 hours
Day(s): Monday and Wednesday 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Fee: $1,150.00 and additional fee of $130 for Certification Exam payable to third party testing agency.
Date: February 10, 2025 - May 19, 2025
Description: Program prepares students for real-world success as entry-level EKG technicians. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the cardiovascular system's anatomy and physiology, obtain and interpret basic patient vital signs, and develop the skills to initiate CPR and first aid when needed. Participants will also master the purpose and application of EKG monitoring, perform 30 live EKGs, and provide patient care and assistance before, during, and after procedures. (Externship available)


Medical Assistant  (New)

Hours: 500 hours
Day(s): Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Fee: $7,480.00 (all books are included)
Fee: $130.00 - Certification Exam payable to third party testing agency

Description: Comprehensive program prepares you for a job as a Medical Assistant. It covers essential topics such as Law and Ethics, Major Body Systems, and EKG procedures, ensuring you gain the knowledge and skills that are in high demand in today's healthcare industry. In addition to a comprehensive curriculum, our program offers the opportunity to attain CPR Certification for Healthcare Workers and national certification as a Medical Assistant, significantly enhancing your employability and career prospects. A laptop is recommended. Books included.


Phlebotomy Technician

Hours: 72 hours
Day(s): Monday and Wednesday 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Fee: $1,150.00
Fee: $130.00 - Certification Exam payable to third party testing agency
Date: January 13, 2025 - April 9, 2025
Description: Comprehensive program prepares you to work as a phlebotomy technician. Lectured topics include safety, anatomy, venipuncture, medical terminology, and specimen handling and processing. Optional clinical externship offers real-world experience. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for a national certification exam.
Uniform is required.
