Multiple fire department tankers have returned to the scene of a rekindled mulch fire at Victory Gardens Farm on the 200 block of Pickertown Road in Warrington Township Monday morning, which has become more intense than last night.
Warrington Fire Co. engine and rescue units, Hartsville Fire Co. of Warminster, and tankers from Northampton Fire Co., Midway Fire Co., Plumsteadville Fire Co. and Warwick Fire Co. were called to the scene shortly after 10 a.m.
About 45 minutes later, Doylestown Fire Co., Newport Fire Co. and tankers from Community Fire Co. No. 1 and New Hope Fire Co. were called to the scene.
An ATV from Horsham Fire Co. in Montgomery County was also called to the scene shortly thereafter.
At around 12:15 p.m., Montgomery County fire agencies were called in to assist: Tylersport Fire Co., Towamencin Vol. Fire Co., Harleysville Fire Co., Skippack Fire Co. and North Penn Goodwill Service.
Additionally, Lingohocken Fire Co. and Trevose Fire Co. were called to assist at the scene.
Mulch fires can spontaneously reignite due to heat in some cases.
