In a purr-fect twist to a two-week investigation, Lower Providence Township Police have cracked the case of the whiskered wanderer.

Often, according to police, the job of a police officer is not always about catching criminals. Sometimes, it is about reuniting distraught owners with their beloved pets who had been on an unexpected urban adventure.

According to its Facebook post, after nearly two weeks of investigation and following up several leads, Detective Scott Dreibelbis and Sgt. Mark Stead were successful in tracking down missing feline "Tifa" in a nearby town.

"All the effort and time locating this little lady could not have been more worthwhile after reacquainting everyone and seeing their reaction," wrote Lower Providence Police on its post.

Police said Tifa, a black cat, went missing in early August, and were able to piece together movements and track Tifa.

Upon locating Tifa, she was brought to Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in East Norriton for treatment and care and for a reunion.
