On Aug. 27, the students of the Methacton School District will return to school for the first year of the 2024-25 school year. In addition to new teachers greeting new students in new classrooms, the Warrior families will also be operating a new school meal program.
The implementation of “PaySchools” began on Aug. 1. The program is used as a payment portal so that parents and guardians can add funds to a student’s account for use in the cafeteria.
The district announced the new program on its Facebook page, stating that it was “thrilled” to announce its implementation. The program is aimed to also provide reporting and data for parents quickly and easily. The district added that it is a “secure” space to access a student’s cafeteria account.
Parents can create a new account at https://payschoolscentral.com/. Free and reduced lunch applications must still go through the school district. According to the district’s site, the applications are processed through schoolcafe.com.
PaySchools can be used on a laptop or desktop computer, but also is available in the Google Play and App Store to add to smartphone devices or tablets.
