Pennsylvania State Police said a resident of Daniel Drive arrived at the Skippack barracks on July 25 at 1:06 p.m. to report a theft of a check.

Police said the victim mailed a check for property taxes in her residential mailbox on or around July 9.

Later, the victim found that the check was altered and cashed for $3,151.48 by an unknown person.
